At post 5 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second the same. Sainrida made up ground steadily, came with a rush in the last sixteenth and, passing Little Wanda, won going away. The latter took a good lead after the fall of Mutable, being clear of interference, hut could not maintain it. Our Own finished fast. Pepper and Salt ran fairly well. Susannah was taken up when Mutable fell and was then taken to the outside. Mutable was killed. Fargo ran an excellent race, was best all the way and had things all his own way throughout. Loretta H. began slowly, but closed a big gap and finished fast. Chauncey Olcott got the worst of the start, but made up much ground and finished gamely. Joe Colson quit badly in the stretch after running a good half. Grove Center ran noorly and can do better. Deuxtemps took a good lead on the backstretch and appeared an easy winner, but was brought to a hard drive at the end by Collector Jessup. The latter ran prominently throughout and was gaining steadily at the finish. Peter Paul was going fast at the end and seems to he improving. Lancastrian ran poorly in the going.
