Judge Treen, outrun for the first quarter, worked his way up on the Inside, came through next to the rail on the turn into the homestretch and outstayed Belle of the Bay In the final drive. The latter began slowly and had to go around on the outside to get up, finished gamely, but tired in -the closing strides. Black Flag is a rapid breaker, sprinted away from the others in the first furlong, but tired in the last eighth under "a drive. Cole was not of much help to Little George. Nonie Lucille made a show of the others, raced Red Ruby into defeat In the first three-eighths and then drew away and opened up a big lead on the far turn and was eased up all through the last furlong. Rama was hard ridden all of the last quarter and shook off the others in the last eighth. Anna Day closed up with a rush after trailing along with the tallenders to the stretch turn. Koerner rode Bert Osra like an amateur, had him all over the track and besides was cut off a couple of times, then finished in a pocket. Airship showed speed, but tired, and so did Mint Boy.
