HORACE E. A GRAND YOUNGSTER. San Francisco, Cal., March 10. Barney Schrei-bers wonderful two-year-old- Horace E created a mild sensation by his victory in the Undine Stakes at Oakland today. Away badly, the blocky chestnut raced into a commanding lead in a twinkling and was never extended to win in the marvelously fast time for the half mile of 47 3-4 over deep track, the reverse of fast. An offer of S,C00, It is said, was made for the Bannockburn Miss Lyuah colt immediately after the race. The youngster is a Futurity eligible and J. G. Follansbee, who saw Horace E perform, pronounced him the fleetest and most promising horse of li is age that ho had ever come across this early in Uie season.
