Odd Trick rushed to the front at once and siu-inted away from the others in the "first furlong, opened up a winning lead before the others got to going and was well in hand all of the last sixteenth. King Leopold saved ground on the turn into the homestretch, came fast at the end and shook off Beau Brummel in the last sixteenth. The latter moved us on the turn Into the homestretch, but tired at the end. Blue Dale was on the outside all the way. The others were always outrun. Corrected weights King Leopold, 115. Bradleys Pet was waited with until rounding the turn into the homestretch when going the last time around, then moved up and took command without much effort and was well in hand through the last furlong. Eclectic ran a j-ikxI race and, under a good ride, outstayed Hymettus for second place. Hymettus was much used in setting the pace and tired under a drive, but held on resolutely. Bluemint put up a good performance and finished gamely, but McClure kept him too far back in the early running. Could was rated along at the one clip all the way and can do much better. Evander showed early speed, but tired after going one turn of the field. John E. Owens made a bad landing at the eighth jump and fell. Sweet Jane was pulled up after taking the ninth jump. Minnie Adams ran a remarkable race, was sent right to the. front and set a killing pace, was never in trouble and won with a bit to spare. Kercheval ran a grand race, slipped through on the Inside on the turn into the back-streteli and finished fast and gamely, was well handled and had no mishaps. Orbicular ran in the middle of the track all the way, was carried a bit wide while rounding the far turn by Jack Dolan, but shook off the latter In the run through the homestretch. There was a jam early and Kargut was knocked off his stride. Debar was crowded back and out of contention on the turn out of the homestretch. Monterey was badly outrun and could never get up. Jack Dolan and Tambeau tired. The latter was well up with the leaders until well around the far turn, when condition told and he tired. St. Joseph quit badly. Scratched 01091 Rickey, 119. The latter moved up fast on the far turn, but tired under a drive at the end. Labor finished fast. Lieutenant Rice quit under a drive in the last furlong. Lacache bled and was pulled up. Capitano was carefully nursed along until straightened out for the stretch run, when he came fast and, catching Percy Clark tiring, outgamed him in the final drive. Percy Clark outbroke the others, set a fast pace and finished gamely. Marco began slowly, but closed a big gap and, finishing with a rush, just managed to get up in time to beat out Arthur Cummer.
