Sonnet showed improved form, followed the early pace closely, moved up with a rush In the last quarter and came away with ease. Nona W. was speedy, hung on better than usual and stood a drive well. Tyrollan ran well to the stretch, but tired badly in the last furlong. Dresden went wide on all turns. Arabelle was pinched off soon after the start and had a rough trip throughout. Storm ran like a good colt under skillful handling, got away in a tangle, but closed up ground steadily and came away with a rush in the last furlong. Alllne Cummings ran green, began slowly and was timid aliout going through, but finished well and will improve. Dr. Root ran a good race under Indifferent handling. Frank Schramm tired near the end. Pontotoc, away In a tangle and in close quarters for the first five furlongs, found an opening on the stretch turn and, finishing like a wild horse, barelv failed to get un and would have won in another stride. Haughty was favored by good racing luck and ran a good race". Aaron J. tired. La Pucelle was never a serious factor. Hyperion II. was short and the same applies to Henry Watterson. Cutter showed the most early speed, had no mishaps and quit badly In the last quarter. Lubin began slowly and finished with a belated rush. Thistle Do was reserved in the early running, but moved up on the stretch turn, finished fast and gamelv under punishment and won going away. Hnrmakis began slowly and had to go wide on the turns, but" finished with a rush and was probably best. Dolihda was away in a tangle many lengths behind the leaders and excessively used in the first quarter to run into a contending position and tired slightly near the end. Rather Royal had the best of the start and showed much speed for the first mile, but quit badly in the stretch. Tristan Shandy ran a bad race and can do much better.
