METROPOLITAN WEIGHTS ARE ANNOUNCED. New York, March 1!. Weights for the Metropolitan handicap at one mile, to be run the opening day of the iirst spring meeting of the Westchester Racing Association at Belmont Park, May 10, have been announced by W. S. Vosburgh, handlcappor for the Jockey Club. The entries number sixty-nine and Include practically all the horses entered for the other big spring handicaps, although they greatly outnumber those named for either the Brooklyn, Suburban, or Brighton. James R. Keenes famous Melton 4-year-old, Sysonby, is top weight with 131 pounds, and E. R. Thomas aged campaigner, Hermls, has the second place with 120 pounds. Ort Wells rates next with 12,1 pounds. Then -follow Delhi, 125; Stalwart and Artful, 123 each; Hamburg .Belle, 122, and Roseau, 121. Harry Payne Whitneys Hamburg eolt Burgomaster heads the 3-ycar-olds with 100 pounds. The Crescent City Derby winner. Guiding Star, is. allotted 93 pounds. The Metropolitan last year resulted In a dead heat between Sysonby and 0. L. Richards Race King. Race King this year is weighted at !! pounds.
