Jim Beattie ran in Improved form, broke from the outside and hail to go around on the outside to get up, caught Clyde tiring in the stretch run and drew away and won cantering. Clyde showed good speed for the first half, but tired in the stretch. Plebeian was on the outside of the leaders for the entire trip, but wore Graydal down and 011 1 gamed him in the final drive. Graydal ran well. Prince of Pless can do better. Dr. Mc-cluer ran poorly. AVoodlawn showed earlv speed.
