WEXFORDS FAST MILE AT FORT ERIE. Buffalo, N. Y July 24. Wexfords mile In 1:30 was the star performance at Fort Erie thi3 afternoon. Wexford won in a common canter after trailing in behind Little Mike until making the turn into the homestretch. The early pace was fast, the first six furlongs being run In 1:133. Wexford is rated by horsemen as about the third best horse racing on the circuit Martin Doyle and Peter Sterling being considered his superiors. A majority of the races were keenly contested and the best horses won. The racing was clean and entirely free from rough riding. Amos Turney has arranged to ship his stable to Saratoga for the opening of that meeting. He has three or four fair horses in his string. James John- tou, whose three-year-old Realm won the sixth race, also goes to Saratoga. Johnston has several jumpers iu his string and it is for this reason more than anything else that he ships to the Spa.
