DE 0B0 WINS THE HAMILTON STAKES. Buffalo, N. Y., July 28. The half holiday, coupled with the running of the Hamilton Stakes, drew a crowd to Fort Erie today that exceeded the attendance of Derby Day. The nine looks that cut In for the day had no complaint of a lack of business. The stake feature was named in honor of the City of Hamilton and the people of that Canadian city were out in full force. Do Oro, running in the colors of Samuel T. White, the Chicago turfman, carried away the plum with My Bessie second and Glimmer third. The colt has been broken of his plunging and bucking habits and he went to the post today as quietly as a kitten. William Gannon, owner of Edward Wilder, was lined 5 today. Gannon sent the colt to the post with whip, spurs and blinkers. Heretofore his equipment had been a whip only.
