THE CLOSING WEEK AT BRIGHTON BEACH. Tiie midsummer meeting of the Brighton Beach Racing Association will come to an end next Saturday afternoon. On the whole It has been a reasonably satisfactory meeting in respect to the average quality of racing and remarkably successful financially. Some Interesting stakes stud: the program of the coming week. The Glen Cove Handicap, for tjiree-year-olds, a dash of three-quarters of a mile, is the stake feature of Monday. The list of probable starters appears elsewhere, in this issue and .should prove an interpstlng affair. The .Nautilus Stakes will be run Tuesday. It is a selling dash of a mile and a sixteenth. Clorifler, Belmere, Red Friary Brancas, Right Royal, Rapid Water, Merry Lark, Bulls Eye, Garnish, First Mason, Trrpn, The Picket, Inquisitor, James Reddlck and Bulletin being prominent in the list of good horses entered In the comparatively unimportant stake. The Sunshine Stakes, for twoyear-olds, will be the central attraction of Wednesdays racing. It is at five and a half furlongs and of Its nominations, Fpnntalnblue, Don Enrlquet Rosemount, Fau-mpnok, Frank GUI, Kentucky Beau, George S. Davis, bran, .Sewell, Bat Masterson, Adoration, Saraeen-esca, McCarter and Sir Toddlngton have .excellent racing credentials. There Is material for a corking, good race here. Thursday afternoon will be marked by the decision, of the Important Invincible Handicap its first running. It has ,500 added nnd Is a dash of a mile and a quarter and those from which the field of starters will come appear to be Rams.Horn, 121; Tokalon, 118; Cairngorm, 112; Giorlfler, 111; Accountant, 109; Merry Lark, 109; Dandelion, 10C; Graziallo, 10; Inquisitor, 104; Dolly Spanker, 103; Von Tromp, 104; Bad News, 104; Oxford, 102; Bulls Eye, 102; Bohemian, 102; Phil Finch, 103; Brancas, 100; Coy Maid, 95; Confederate, 93, arid Miss Crawford, 98. With ten starters this race will be worth 0,000 net to the winner, so It falls little short of the Importance attaching to the great handicaps already decided and will be fully as hotly contested. The last two stakes- of the meeting will be run off nexf Saturday. They are the Winged Foot Handicap, for two-year-oids, at three-quarters of a mile, and the 5,000 Brighton Derby. Some very good two-year-olds are in the Winged Foot Including Don Enrique, Rosemount, Okenite, Etlion, Salvidere, Penarris, Zal, Yowric. Gretna Green, Antrim, Master Lester, Saraceuesca, McCarter, Oran, Norfolk, R,ed River, Glamor, Remiss and The Wrestler. The Brighton Derby Is over a mile and a half course and the probable contestants are Accountant, Belmere, Samson, Albert F., Bohemian, Kurokl, Flimnap and possibly Perverse and The Quail. If the two last named start against Accountant there will be some excitement.
