SANFORD CRACKS FOR SARATOGA. Saratoga advices say that the Sanford three-year-old Mohawk II., has been doing some surprising work at Hurricana and Is as sound as specie. If so, the colt will be a tough proposition during the Saratoga meeting. The cleverest youngsters in the Sanford band are said to be: Rockstone, b. c, by Rockton Lady Primrose. Flint Hill, b. c, by Clifford Whiplash. Sir William Johnson, b. c, by Clifford La Tosca II. The brown colt by Clifford Ballyroe, Joseph Brant, is also said to be a very clever colt. Their engagements are: Rockstone Saratoga Special, Grand Union Stakes, Albany Handicap, United States Hotel Stakes. Flint Hill Flash Stakes, Saratoga Special, Grand Union Stakes, and United States Hotel Stakes. Sir William Johnson Saratoga Special, Hopeful Stakes, Albany Handicap, and Adirondack Handicap. Jospeh Brant Flash Stakes, Grand Union Stakes, Hopeful Stakes, and United States Hotel Stakes.
