Weberlields showed speed, but tired after going five furlongs. Shipwreck was In close quarters for the first half and ran a good race. St. Denis was forced to go wide most of the way. Frank Flesher suffered from interference soon after the start and had to close a big gap. finished going fast and outgnmod Triumphant in the last few strides. The latter ran a good race and had a rough trip. Froward, going wide all the wav, ran well and was gaining at the end. Tom Morgan saved ground all the way. Hereafter quit after going a fast quarter. Rlnemint ran a good race, forced a fast pace, fenced well and, better handled, would have won. Modredlaw ran with a .choppy stride and blundered several times at the jumps, but responded well to punishment and ontgamed Ohio King in the linal drive. The latter ran a fairly good nice only and tired badly after going one turn of the field. Elude, badly ridden, was going fast in the stretch after making up ground, but Taylor almost fell off .when lie attempted to ride a strong litiisb. Dr. Burcli showed speed for the first half, but tireil and was a lucky third. Santon was only nullifying and can probably beat the winner when fit and meant, was badly ridden and taken wide for Hie first half, came with a rush through the stretch and would have been third in a few more strides. Cotillion Kin a good race and came fast through the stretcli. St. Paris, away running, showed the most speed for the first three-quarters, hut tired and had to be hard ridden to save third place. Huzzali ran a good race and will improve. Marshal Ney was a prominent contender to the last furlong, where he tired. Swiftwing, almost left, ran a winning race and hut for interference in the stretch would have been third.
