WALKER IS STRICKEN WITH APPENDICITIS. Saratoga. N. Y., August S. Charles Walker has just undergone an operation for appendicitis at one of the local hospitals. Walker, In the old days of Guttenberg and Clifton, owned a formidable stable. Now or Never, which won a number of Important races on the big tracks, being one of the string that carried his colors. When he gave up his stable he gave his entire attention to warmups and so keen a judge did he become that he has for years been able to pick winners enough to bring lilni a comfortable income.
