NO FOUNTAINBLUE-HORACE E. MATCH LIKELY Saratoga, N. Y August 11. In playing up the possibility of a match race between Fountalnblue and Horace E. for 0,000 a side, the newspapers of New York appear to-have been wasting a lot of space. James B. Brady says there is not a chance for such a match. In the first place, he says, he does not believe In match races and in the next Instance there Is ample opportunity to decide the merits of the two colts in the Flatbnsh Stakes at Sheepshead Bay, or the Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park. He says it is the intention to start Fountalnblue In both these stakes and that trainer Allen will have him ready for them. "Fountain-blue Is perfectly sound and superbly healthy," added Mr. Brady. "He Is a great horse, thats certain, and he will not get out of the way of Horace E. or any other horse of his age." F. A. Forsythe, who sold Fountalnblue to Mr. Brady, said today: "After the performance of Horace E. yesterday, I am willing to bet as much as ,000 that Fountalnblue can beat the Rainey colt doing anything. It is true that Horace E. beat Fountalnblue at Memphis, but that was in the early spring when Fountalnblue was not fit and when Horace E. had bad the experience of bis racing in California."
