Leo Bright, off running and showing the best form lie has yet shown here, assumed a long lead at once and always held the others safe, winning as his rider pleased. Swiftwing ran a good race, but was hot good enough to beat the winner today, Huzzah, hard ridden all the way, had no mishaps and ran only a fairly good race. Rubinon ran well in spots and was gaining near the end. Imboden came from a long way back and finished fast, is worth remembering and good in mud. Begonia tired after going seven furlongs. The Thrall, in close quarters most of the wny finished going gamely through the stretch and was probably best. Black Cat, away slowly, moved up fast after going a quarter, fought it out closely with .Minnie Johnson through the stretch and outlasted the latter. Minnie Johnson is speedy, but tires after going a half. Zinda had a rough trip. Dr. Burch was almost thrown at the half-mile ground and ran a fairly good race. The Minks trailed the others far back for the first half, but moved up fast In the last quarter and, standing a hard drive resolutely, closed a tremendous gap and got up in the final strides. Wee Lass showed a great flight of speed for the first three-quarters, but tired and just lasted long enough to save second place. Miss Doyle, probably best, was cut off several times and weakly handled near the end. Major T. J. Carson tired badly after going a half and could not concede the weight. Carthage, away poorly, moved up steadily all the way, but swerved and repeatedly interfered with Queen Caroline. The latter broke running, showed the most early speed and would have been much closer up but for the interference.. Babe B. ran forwardly from the start, but tired after- going five furlongs. Carthage and Prince of Pless collided at the start, Treubel on the former losing his stirrups. Creel ran poorly. Revolt was a forward contender to the stretch, but tired near the end and was worked out an extra furlong. Toupee was badly handled ami can do better.
