Alegra wan quickest in getting away, set the pace and raced Fleeting Star Into exhaustion, but tired and jiiit lasted long enough. Limited ran In greatly Improved form, was always a keen contender and finished fast. Lady Gay Spanker had clear sailing and made up ground rapidly In lie stretch, but tired at the end. .MIsm Lida had a rough journey, got ofT next to last and had to work her way up on the outside, came fast through the stretch and was catching the leaders at every stride. Charlie Eastman set a terrific pace, raced La Londe into exhaustion and tiled at the end, but had enough left to stall ofT the rush of Tickle. The latter was saved from the early pace, but was always In keen contention and was gaining fast 011 the winner at the finish. La Londe had no mishaps and tired badly In the last sixteenth. Gold Run. favored by the weights, rushed lo the front and opened up a winning lead in the first turn of the field and was never in any danger thereafter, fenced poorly, but made up ground on the ilat. Dr. NowPn wnss closest in contention through the last half of the course, but tired badly. Picktime was always badly outpaced., Treilet the More was going well until at the sixteenth jump, where he unseated his rider. Solon Shingle was saved from the early pace, ran in behind the pacemakers until the stretch turn was reached, was In the best part of the track and moved up resolutely, caught Gold Enamel and the two fought it out all through the stretch, the winner staying best. Gold Enamel was much used in rccing Peter Paul into subjection, but ran a good race and finished gamely. Crowshade ran in keen early con tentlon, but tired in the stretch run. Tanbark began slowly, but took the shortest way, raced Into a contending position and tired in the last sixteenth, but outlasted Moonvine. The latter ran well to the stretch and tired. Reside did not run. her race and was badly messed alut. Phil Igoe was sliutllcd back at the start, showed a Hash of speed,, then" tired. Attentions race should be thrown out. Delimit! was much the best, raced Ingnlthrift into exhaustion, drew out in the last sixteenth and won going away. Ingolthrift showed tiie most early speed, but tired from setting the pace. Jungle Imp. shuttled back soon after the start, had to go around on the outside and made up a lot of ground ie the stretch, but the effort told on him. Bendigo appeared very -sore when going to the post, showed early speed, but quit after going a fast half. The otliers were always outrun. Scratched 01007 Bedwood II., 103; 01150Marinibo, SO. Corrected weights Jungle Imp, 108. Overweights Scarecrow, 3 pounds.
