Jake Holtmans strong-armed assistant, "Hold on Jimmy," has figured so conspicuously In the bad starting of his chief at Latonla as to create general dissatisfaction among the bettors who have suffered at his hands and to cause the Cincinnati Enquirer to set forth somewhat lamentably that there Is no rule which prohibits an assistant starter taking hold of a horse or holding on to him. No such rule Is necessary. The Latonla officials should simply remove the offending "Jimmy" and instruct Mr. Holtmiui to employ another assistant. J t
