Zinfandel ran as if best in the going, was away in a tagle and suffered from- repeated interference In the first three furlongs, came fast under hard urging and aided by a vigorous ride, outlasted Warner Griswell. The latter, away running, showed the most early speed, but was forced wide into the stretch and tired slightly in the final drive. Beautiful Mayo, away slowly, was excessivelv used and caused a jam in the first quarter when Taylor pulled over sharply, almost causing Zinfandel to go down. Sainrida was away too poorly to cut much figure in the result, but finished fast and would have been a sharp contender with equal racing luck.
