ELECTIONEERS OWNER IS FELIX ISMAN. "Boston Jack" McDonald Says the Price Paid to William Lakeland Was 0,000. New York, September 7. Electioneer has been sold to Felix Isman, of Philadelphia, and "Boston. Jack" McDonald, who is in a position to know what he is talking about, says the price paid to "William Lakeland was 0,000. The new recruit to the turf is a big real estate and theatrical operator of Philadelphia and New York and is rated more that a millionaire. A man named Curtis Van Ness acted as intermediary. It is reported that Willie Shields lus been engaged as trainer. This may be due to the fact that Mr. Shields was invited on Wednesday to inspect anil pass upon the colts soundness, etc., before the sale was consummated. It is also generally believed that Mr. Lakeland has a contingent interest in the colts winnings, should he prove successful in the Flatbush Stakes tomorrow. .Mr. Lakeland declines to discuss the matter and local newspaper men are disposed to ridicule and belittle the transaction. No one knows whose colors Electioneer will race in the next time out.
