Fish Hawk, after being tangled up in the rear and in close quarters, finished with a belated rush. Baringo also came fast from the rear and was going fastest of all. Vaquero showed superior speed and was a serious contender up to tne final sixteenth. Mexican. Silver ran prominently to the last furlong and tired. Athens, nearly left, closed an immense gap and will do to watch. Beggar Maid was never dangerous and always outpaced. Diilclnca was nearly left. Anna May was away badly. Cottontown, away badly and hemmed in for three furlongs, appeared hopelessly out of the race, when he suddenly closed up 011 the Inside on the far turn and then came through on the inside in the stretcli, wearing Zienap down in a jiffy and winning going away in a great performance. Zienap, from a flying start, was taken up and reserved in behind Oaklawn, worked into the lead on the last turn and appeared all over the winner, but .succumbed finally to the favorite. Single Shot maintained forward contention from tho start and held her own well in the stretch. Clovererest ran prominently for six furlongs before lie retired and was palpably short. Great, away very badly and trailing for the first half, finished. like a shot. . Rose of Gold was alwajs outpaced. Oaklawn displayed brilliant speed for six furlongs, but failed to stay. Panarris, from a flying start, won all the way, never seriously menaced until it was too late and is a grand colt. Joe Miller, nearly left and shut off early, closed an immense gap while running on the extrenie cutside and, when looming up in serious contention in the stretch, was carried out and had no chance, but was much the best at the weights. Ethon, from a good start, held a good position to the last turn, -where he was shut off, but closed up rapidly in the stretch and finished a fast going third, probably was short and will reverse this running. Dan Bnhre ran in close pursuit from the start, hut liore out ail through the last quarter and just lost third place In the last stride. Umbrella held her position unexpectedly well. Cohlesklll showed fine, speed for five furlongs. Gold Lady showed much early speed and tired in the last quarter as if short. Dashaway had no chance at the start and had a verv rough journey. Ostrich iorged into the lead on the backstretch and made slow running to the last turn, where he drew out and, shaking off Orly, seemed to be winning easily, but was mildly driven out to beat Peter Sterling. The latter kept within striking distance of the leaders and, in a fast stretch effort, failed to get up. but was best. Nealon, on the outside, quickly took a good position and, after being reserved in close pursuit of the pace maker for seven furlongs, shot into a long lead and was apparently winning easilv in the stretch when Outcomes challenge suddenly and unexpectedly brought him to a hard drive. The latter was shuffled to the rear on the first turn and repeatedly pocketed and finished with a sensational, though belated, stretch sprint. Logistilla suffered slightly from crowding at the start and in the early running, otherwise had no mishaps and simply failed to come on effectively In the last quarter. Miss, Crawford essayed to make the running and at the end of six furlongs was forced out of position, but ran a good race. Grazlallo got away badly, but was rushed into the lead and set a stiff pace up the backstretch. but failed to star. Dishabille was overweighted and not at home on the grass course. Colonial Girl, always outrun, can do much better. Lotus Eater ran a good six furlongs. Scratched 04575 Orly, 104; 64557 Eutree, 113; C31C9 Mabel Richardson, 104. L
