TWENTY LEADING JOCKEYS. Walter Miller rode five winners at Sheepshead Bay last week and Is again at the; head of the list of winning jockeys, leading Nicol by two. NIcol, during his first week in the oast, failed to pilot a winner. His riding was severely criticised by several of the New York turf reporters. However much these pencil pushers may prate about his work, the fact remains that his percentage in riding is several points better than that of any of the topnotchers. Radtke is showing Improvement. He rode seven winners last weekr "GeorgeMountaln is unquestionably the best rider on the Northern Circuit. Last week he rode ten winners, eight the week previous and seven the third week back. Auhuchon is the best boy at Louisville, but he "came- under, the rule of the starter for misbehavior at ,the post and was Inactive for the greater part of last week. M. Preston, with his five winning mounts, made the best showing at Douglas Park, This is the standing of the twenty leaders from January 1, to and including the racing of September S: Jockeys.
