AFTER THE ROUGH. RIDERS AT LOUISVILLE. B. Miller Is Suspended and Hicks and Sandy Are Fined Alcors Defeat Proves Costly. Louisville, Ky., September 10. Three jockeys were punished for rough riding at Douglas Park this aft6rnooli. B. Miller, who rode Orlandwlck, was suspended for the remainder of "the meeting. He interfered with Still Alarm. John L. Inglls was bumped out of all chance of winning the fourth. race by Sir Russell and Sandy, who piloted the offending horse, was fined 0. In the last race nicks;, who was riding Moccasin Maid, carried Athena outVuntil Seder beat him off .with his whip. Hicks was fined $."0. Seder was not admonished. He had been fined 5 by the starter for misbehavior at the post in the first race. Favorites were downed in five of the races the exceptions being Colonel Jim Douglas and Athena. Pat Dunne and his following lost a considerable sum through Alcors failure to win the seven furlongs race. Alcor was bndly handled by Perrett in addition to suffering from interference. Bon Aivant graduated from, the maiden ranks by winning the opening race after leading almost throughout. Bushthorpe, recently purchased by C. Heifers, grabbed his quarter at the post. He will be out of training for some time. Funicnlaire also grabbed his quarter in his race Saturday. T. P. Hayes says he will bo out of training for at least two weeks. J. S. Newman will ship . his stable to Texas after tills meeting. They will he raced at Dallas and then; sent home. Newman .will take up twenty-eight youngsters and campaign most- of them on the coast tracks this winter. There will be three steeplechase races during the state fair at Churchill Downs next week. Jockey AVishard, Just .arrived from Windsor, rode two winners this afternoon.
