EXPECT WATER PEARL TO START SATURDAY. New York, September 18. Unless A. J. Joyner changes his mind the public may be gratified on Saturday with a sight of the best two-year-old of the year, according to the official haudicapper. This is Water Pearl, which Is engaged in the Junior Champion, about six furlongs. The race will have a value of about 4,000 to the winner, and hence is a stake worthy of the best effort of any colt in the laud. Water Pearls weight will be 127 pounds. That of Salvidere, his most doughty opponent, many agree, will be 124 pounds, he receiving a sex allowance. Peter Pan will carry 127 pounds; Ballot, 127; Yankee Gun, 117; De Mund, 127, and DInna Ken, 107. This should really be the two-year-old race of the year.
