CANADIAN TRACKS HAVE THEIR BEST YEAR. Total Distribution for 114 Days Racing Is 13,S50-i- Big Increase Over Records of 1005. The four tracks in Canada Toronto, Hamilton, Windsor and Fort Erie furnished 114 days of racing this year and produced to horsemen in stakes and purses 13,850 for the 732 races decided. This Knows an. Increase of twenty-seven days and 4,677 over 1005. There was no meeting at Windsor in the spring of 1905 and there was no meeting at Hamilton last fall. Highland Park track in Detroit was in operation in the spring of 1905 for twenty-six days and carried a distribution of 6,0S0. This counted in made 113 days and 85,253 for the Canadian Circuit in 1005, still showing an Increase of one day and 8,507. While Highland Park was not on Canadian soil, this is a just calculation, for with the passing of the old Detroit track, the meeting at Windsor the past spring was made possible. With two meetings at Montreal and the possibility of one at Winnipeg the coming year, the Canadian tracks will produce quite nearly if not all of a half million dollars to horsemen. Here is a comprehensive tabulation of the apportionment of dates, races decided arid money distributed at the Canadian tracks this year: v S? 8m is 5? 2 Tracks. : : 3 . 1 1 5" . . : - s Toronto, spring 13 ; 87 SO 150 1906.sh2.S00 Hamilton, spring 11 OS Ci 110 20,005 Windsor, spring 10 114 83 1G7 43,470 Fort Erie, summer ..38 252 155 278 04,160 Windsor, fall ...18 115 94 172 39,465 Toronto", fall 7 44. 54 86 2S.2G5.
