Bound Mrook ran within striking distance of the leaders from the start, fenced cleanly and gradually overhauled Garterknot, coming away to win off when on the flat. Caller ran forwardly for the first mile, then fell back arid was badly messed about and finished with a belated end rush under a bad ride. Garterknot made the running by a wide gap, blt made a half dozen costly blunders and, being Inadequately handled, succumbed eventually, but should have won.
