IMPROVEMENTS AT CHURCHILL DOWNS. Louisville, Ky.. October 8. It is announced that between now and the opening of the spring meeting the track at Churchill Downs is to be resolled and that a galloping road one and one-half miles long is to be constructed outside of the track in-closure. It is intended that this shall be used by the trainers for the exercising of their horses on days when the regular course Is muddy.
