SHIELDS WILL RACE AT NEW ORLEANS. New York, October S. William Shields has planned another southern campaign for next winter. He will fillip a big stable. -to New Orleans. nftor the Bennlngs fall meeting, and nolscher will be at its head.. It Is the Intention of the young Canadian to pit HolsCher In all the distance races at the Fair Grounds and City Park, the Bush Cup included, and point :hlm for them Holscher is a comparatively fresh horse. He did some racing in the early spring, bujt. after Shields bought him he got a long rest. He. did not start under Shields colors until the Saratoga meeting. Ben Hodder will not be one of the horses Shields . takes isouth. Ben Hodder has not yet recovered from the effects of his accident at Saratoga, which pre vented him from filling Important dates at the Spa and at Sbeepshead Bay. He Is turned out at John Hynes nursery in Connecticut, where he will remain .all winter. Mr. Shields , will be more than satisfied if Ben Hodder gets back to the races liv winning form next spring. None of the . horses Shields is training for Edward R. Thomas will race ht New Orleans. They will presently go into: winter quarters at the farm of Ales Shields near Bound Brook, N. ,T. . -
