NO CONTEST OVER JOHN DALYS WILL. New York. October 17. The threatened contest over the will of John Daly, the former partner of Davld Gideon in his turf ventures, who died on April 20 last, collapsed when all objections to the probate of the will were withdrawn. Miss Bertha Barron and Mis. Gertrude McGowan. two nieces of the testator, were not remembered in the will, and they announced their intention of trying to break the instrument. They said that a montli before he made his will, in September, 1905, they had visited him at Saratoga, but he failed to recognize them. On tills they intended to base their allegation that Daly wa9 mentally incompetent when he made his will. John Dalys estate, it is said, will foot up about 50,000. He rememlered a number of relatives and named James A. Lynch and Richard T. Lynch as his executors.
