ALGIERS TO HAVE MORE SUNDAY RACING. New Orleans, La., October 23. That half-mile nierry-go-round at Algiers is to be open again this winter with its Sunday racing. "Tony" Wallace is to be in charge of the plant and it is understood that preparations are being made for its opening November 3 for a meeting of three days each week until tJie regular season opens at the Fair Grounds, November 24. After that it will take up its Sunday grind. There is a healthy demand for the suppression of this plant. It certainly contributes nothing that is for the good of the turf.
