Tanager showed the most speed al! the way, raced Jay Swift into defeat and easily came away in the stretch. Crafty was a sharp contender in the early stages, stood a drive well through the stretch and outstayed The Golden Bird. The latter suffered from slight interference, came fast when with clear sailing and would have been second in a few more strides. Ouardi bore out badly through the stretch run and can do better. All Ablare was going well at the end. Jay Swift tired badly in the last furlong. Incorrect weight in entries Crafty, 100. Overweights Jay Swift, 3 pounds; Little Lighter, 2j. Nat B. was much the best, took the lead at once and won as his rider pleased, being eased up through the stretch. Albula ran a good race and stood the final drive well. Osterman acted badly at the post and unseated his rider, but moved up steadily from a slow beginning and finished fast. Gladiator was going gamely at the end. Oural, poorly ridden, suffered from Interference. Bernle Cramer saved ground on the stretch turn and finished well. Cardinal Wolsey broke down after going a half. The latter came with a rush through the stretch after suffering from much interference and would have won in another stride. Marco was in close quarters most of the way and ran a good race. Bensonhurst showed the most early speed, hut quit badly after going a half. Bourbon News was going well at the end and, better handled, would have been a sharp factor. The lattter was listlessly handled, can do much better and should have been a closer contender. Evander Bhowed good form and fenced well, but tired badly after maklnga bad blunder at the sixth fence. Resectable refused to extend himself fully ou account of the heavy dust lu the course. Onyx II. tired badly. and ran far below his best form. Daring began slowly and, when moving up fast on the stretch turn, was "sharply cut off and forced to go to the outside, then finished fast when clear and would have been"- second Jn, a few more strides. Posing was close up in the early stages, but was used too much and tired badly In the final drive. Potter showed early speed and quit badly after going a half mile. Dance Music forced the early pace arid raced Gallithea intt subjection while going the first three-quarters, but tired from thd effort hi the stretch. Gallithea showed the most early speed, had no mishaps arid quit badly in the stretch. Noel was a forward contender for a half. Suzanne" showed early speed. Scratched 65120 Hadur, 96.
