Cal., January 17. — In quashing a rumor to the effect that the Los Angeles Jockey Cluli was considering an extension of the present meeting at Ascot Park, Manager Brooks said: "The meeting will close on March 13. as was originally intended. There will lie no extension. The matter lias not been considered."
