January 17. — The heaviest rain that has fallen here in years deluged Hie track Q today and kept the attendance down to a handful ,.. the regulars. It fairly poured down all after-noon, making the colors of the jockeys difficult to distinguish. What little interest there was. centered in the fourth Mar, a free handicap for j three year olds and upward at one mile, which was taken by A. Muskoday in hollow fashion.
