SLOAN SUGGESTS CUT-OFF PATH. Instead of walking the horses after parade all around the course to the starting point. Tod Sloan suggests that a cut-off path across the midtield to the post be made. The present "all around the ring" method of parade is too tedious. The "cutoff path" is used in England.
