LADY CAROLINE II. IS MISSING. Lady Caroline II.. one of the most promising two year-olds developed at New Orleans last winter, has. it Is believed been stolen from the Fair irounds track. A dispatch from New Orleans sav-that Mr. Mauberret. agent for John Tevis, Iter owner, received an order to take charge of his horses and to give H. Richards fare to New York, and he. Mr. Tevis, would pay him what money was due him. Mr. Mauberret went to get the horses, but the man that was caring for them said that Lady Caroline II. was stolen the night before and that Richards had gone to New York. Mr. Mauberret tried every way to find the filly, but could not get any trace of her. Some one said they saw the filly put on the lioat for New York. Goldsmith, the sire of the filly, and Prince of Coins are still in Mr. Mauberrets charge, and he is awaiting the arrival of Mr. Tevis.
