MORE ROUGH RIDING AT LATONIA. Four Horses Fall Helen Virginia Is Disqualified Jockey A. Martin Is Fined 0. Cincinnati, O., June 25. The racing at Latonia today was not of a high order and was marred by rough riding. In the second race Tom Chance was caught in a jam just after the start and fell. In the rush for the lead around the first turn in the third race jockey E. Martin cut across from the outside to the inside with Helen Virginia, causing a jam in which Ouardi. Sea Salt and La-cache fell. Helen Virginia finished third, but was disqualified, and Martin wiis lined 0 for his offense. No serious injury lesultcd from the mishaps, but the jockeys were badly shaken up. After two unsuccessful days in the saddle, the jockey .1. Lee managed to win the last today with Louise Macfarlan. He should have won on Hazel Patch, but he was shut olf and impeded soon after the start and all through the stretch. In the two-year-old race Hans was badly crowded in the early part of the journey, but Lee got him fully extended in the. stretch and was only beaten by a narrow margin. Louise Macfarlan was the only winning favorite. The defeat of Hans in the fifth race by Dora Neff was unexpected and cost the sharpshooters a considerable sum. He had been primed for a killing and but for the interference lie would have won.
