Clell Turney ran a winning rice am Mulshed very fast under punishment after coming through on the inside when entering the homestretch, inauguration showed speed, but tired in the final drive. Mooksie was waited witli through tin; lirst turn of the field, went around the leaders with a rush after liking the twelfth jump, but crowded Rock Storm and Dawson out of the course and was disqualified. Rock Storm was much used in setting the pace and was tiring in the last furlong, but held on well. Dawson tired under punishment in the last quarter. Dr. Keith probablv was short and ran poorlv. Tickle wore Kankakee down while rounding the far turn and, taking an easy lead after entering the h uiestrel-h, was well in hand at the finish. Spion fell to the rear in the early stages and came fast in the strelep when it was too late. Revenue finished gamely and outstayed Kankakee in the final drive. Kankakee is a quick beginner and showed much earlv speed, but failed to stav. LUpin fell in behind Charlie Thompson on the first turn and was rated along under restraint until on the turn out of the backstretch, where he moved up fast, but had to be ridden out all or the last furlong to retain his advantage. Peter Knight, outrun for the first six furlongs, finished fast and outgamed Picaroon in the mini drive. Picaroon went to the leaders with a rush when entering the homestretch and made a menacing effort at the furlong post, hut tired under punishment. Nellie Burn was sharplv cut off when entering the homestretch, was forced to pull up and, going to the outside, was going fastest of ai: at tho end. Uirow Thistle Dos race out. Rogers beat the others away from the barrier by a couple of lengths, set a fast pace and just managed to last long enough to stall off Zipangos rush, but kept crowding the latter against the luside rail in the last sixteenth and was disqualified. Zipango was close up from the start, finished fast and might have won anyhow but for the interference. Fleming ran a fairly good race only and tired in the liual drive. The others were outpaced throughout.
