PLANS FOR RACING AT YONKERS. New York, July 1 After a meeting with his associates, whicli is to be held Wednesday, James Butler will announce the plans of the Empire City Association for a meeting at Yonkers in August. It is said that the Jockey Club will bo asked to give its sanction to two weeks racing and that its rules of racing will be respected in every instance. Sis weeks is not a great deal of time in which to make arrangements for a meeting such as other local tracks afford, but it is said that In lieu of stakes purses rich enough to attract superior horses will be given. It is said to be the prime intention of Mr. Butler and his associates to demonstrate that the Yonkers track is fully equipped for a high-class running meeting and that there is no basis for the recent claims that the plant is lacking in necessary accommodations.
