Nancy left the post fast and, rushing around her opponents, took a commanding lead and was well iu hand all of the last furlong. Right and True broke slowly and was hard ridden all the way, but was unable to improve ids position in the last furlong. Paul Clifford, cut off at .the start, closed a big gap and outstayed Kankakee in the final drive. The Jatter ran well. Venus and Weather Vane showed early speed. Danyah was much used in following the early pacemaker and tired in the final drive. Shindy left the post like a quarter horse and showed much the most speed for a half, then tired. Centipede stumbled and went to lils knees after taking th second jump, had, to be pulled up and would have won but for this. .Saltine stumbled at the litth jump and again- at the eleventh and was pulled up. Lord Boanerges closed up on Gabrielle on the far turn,- but was carried very "wide when entering the homestretch, where he lost, much ground and might have won but for this. Slickaway broke slowly and was outrun all the way. Gabrielle showed superior early speed, but failed to stay. Toots Mook ran a bad rr-ce and can do much better.
