Ballot Box was closest in pursuit, followed the pacemaker closely and was gaining on the winner at the end. Frank Collins ran in forward contention all the way and finished gamely. Clifton Purge, began slowly, but came with a rush at the end and would have been third in another stride. Sllvertail showed speed, but quit In the filial drive. Taunt can do much better. Toimiabat ran as if best, sprinted to tin front at the start and opened a winning lead after going a quarter, raced Letohatchie into defeat and won as bis rider pleased. Maxton began slowly, but improved His position steadily. Moliere finished fast and outgamed Catherine- F. for third place. Letohatchie was speedy, out tired from chasing the winner. Roll Weevil ran well for a half and was cut off on the turn for home. Lee Crest will improve. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. The latter, slightly interfered with at the head of iii. stretch, came again, but tired in the last strides. J. W. ONeill closed an early sap and easily took third place from Redondo. Ena, well ridden, moved up fast 011 the far turn, caught Mickleton Maid on the turn for home, raced lit f into defeat and drew away fast at the end. Black Barbara had clear sailing, finished fast and easily look second place from Mickleton Maid. The latter showed a great burst of early speed and set a terrific pace to tlie bead of the stretch, then tired. Cantless finished fast. Meadowgrcen quit badly in the stretch run.
