Lexington "Lady was saved from the fast pace, which Merry Man set for the tlrst half, caught the latter tiring in the stretch run and. won going away after having finished very gamely under punishment. Merry Man, a good looker and evidently a good colt, showed much speed, but tired and was probably a lilt short. Merrimac ran on the inside all the way aud saved ground on every turn. Ornamentation bolted to the outside fence when entering the homestretch. Merry Maker fenced ve well and showed much speed, but tired under the whip in the last furlong. Ruths Rattler moved up when going to the tenth jump, where he made a determined effort, but-tired at the end. Judge Nolan unseated his rider at the lirst jump, but was remounted and finished the course. Lights Out can do much better. Chulila was rated in behind Etta Louise to the stretch turn, then came fast, but tired after getting to the leaders. Clell Turney linislied fast. Feast ran poorly.
