Long Ball, from a lucky start, met with interference behind Queen Mar guorite and was then pocketed, which may have beaten him for second place. Earl G., stemiii-ly boring out oil the turn and taken back twice, was a distant fourth under a bad ride. Countermand finished well alter having been shuttled to the rear early. Oniiuz displaved brilliant earlv speed and, after being beaded, held on gamely. Franklin, away poorly, closed a big gap and is a line" looker.
