CONFIRMS CROKERS CHALLENGE. London Sporting Life verifies the report cabled from Dublin that Captain Greer had declined Richard Crokers challenge for a match between Orby and Slleve Gallion. It says "Our Irish correspondent has been informed by Mr. Croker that he made an offer to Captain Greer to rim Orby against Slicve Gallion, in a match for a substantial wager, over any distance from live furlongs to three miles. Mr. Crokers only stipulation was tht the proposed race should take place in Ireland. Captain Greer declined the proposal."
