Tlieodocia ran into a long lead at once and won all the way with plenty in reserve. Lamptrimmer moved tip steadily, although going wide while on the backstretch, saved ground on the stretch turn, but was not good enough. Helen II. III. ran well and had no mishaps. Mnry Darby was shufUed back several times ajid ran u good race. Ecclesiastic quit In the stretch. Average acted badly while going to the post and Crashed through the fence. The latter was best and but for being: taken wldi! into the stretch would have won. Charlie Thompson suffered from crowding on the first turn and moved up gamely in the stretch, but tired in the last furlong. Thistle Do had no mishaps. Reticent tired after going well for three-quarters. Crestfallen closed a big gap. Monterey was knocked out of any chance on the first turn. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. The latter ran well and was best, but under weak riding was lucky to retain second pl tce. Jacomo was in a pocket most of the way and poorly ridden. Aquiline, lucky throughout, wore Dandy Dancer down in the final furlong under a hard drive and won drawing out. Dandy Dancer broke from an outer position, showed the most early speed and stayed well 111 the final drive. Italia, much the best, was in a constant jam for the first three furlongs, saved ground when turning into the stretch, but again suffered from interference in the final drive. FrescatI ran a good race and also suffered from interference. Giles was shuliled back after going a quarter. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 70225 Petulant, 10S. The latter moved up fast after going three-quarters and was fast wearing the winner down in tiie drive through the stretch. King of the Valley had scant chance witli the weak ride he received and can do much better. Doubt tired after going a mile. Cursus ran a bail race and can do much better.
