POOLROOMS UNLAWFUL IN TEXAS. Three judges, sitting in special tri-partitc court at Fort Worth, Thursday last, held that the operation of poolrooms in the state of Texas is unlawful. The decision is the outcome of the case of II. E. Mills, who was charged with violation of the Texas anti-gambling law. Mills made no denial of the alleged facts, but entered the defense that lio law was violated in Texas, all bets being sent by wire to Oklahoma City and paid from that point.
