IMPROVEMENTS AT FORT WORTH. Fort Worth, Texas. August i. The races at the local meeting. October S to IS, will be run over a new three-quarters of a mile track now in course of construction at the Fair Grounds. This track is being built around the old half-mile track. One hundred additional stalls are being put up, so that there will be quarters for about 300 horses. The betting ring is also being enlarged. 0. W. Roard-nian of St. Louis, has been engaged as general manager and handicapper for the running meeting.
