Awawegalig began slowly but, under hard urging, moved up resolutely and finished with a rush. Nettie Carita showed speed, but tired near the end. Mary Cuslis ran a fairly good race. Lou NifTin ran below expectations. Dulcinea quit badly after going a half. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Whisk Broom, showing a sudden recovery of speed, spreadeagled her opponents and won cantering. Wild Cherry, hard ridden all the way and saving much ground, outstayed Margot. The latter broke slowly, was poorly ridden and taken wide throughout and unlucky to lose second place. Kitty Smith showed early Hived and tired in the last furlong. Inauguration, lucky in escaping interference, moved up with a rush after going three furlongs and out-gamed Guarda in the final drive. Guarda caused a jam soon after the start by cutting sharply across the leaders and showed the most early speed, but tired slightly in the final drive. Balla was best, but suffered from much Interference and finished fast and gamely. Eleanor Fay also suffered from interference. Fandango had no mishaps. Little Minnie quit in the last quarter. Ben Stille showed a high crder of speed and ran a good race. Charlie Eastman lacked early sieed and was given a bad ride throughout, but finished fast. Light Wool can do much better, was hard restrained for the first half and finished with a rush. Usury tired in the last quarter after running well to the stretch. Oak Grove was much used at the iost, ran well and, under stronger riding, would probably have won. Reticent showed speed, but tired after going wide into the stretch. Monere had no mishaps. Doubt, much the best at the weights, was poorly ridden, but finished fast and would have been second in a few more strides. Bernie Cramer closed a big gap in the last half. King of the Valley ran a bad race and can do much better. Ancestor acted badly at the post, showed a brief Hash of speed and ran on a mile after the finish. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Glenn Mac-Bride, away poorly and going wide most of the way, finished fast. Royal Legend tired as if short. Black-lock had no mishaps. Laura A. showed the most early speed, but bore out badly in the last furlong. Cyclops and Lamptrlmmer quit badly after u brief display of speed. The winner was entered for 00; no 1 bid.
