WILLIAM KANE DIES AT SARATOGA. New York, September 3. William Kane, assistant clerk of the scales on the Jockey Club tracks, died at Saratoga yesterday as the result of a stroke of apoplexy during the Saratoga meeting. Arthur Van Etton has been appointed to the position held by Mr. Kane.
