Albia was much used in setting the early pace and tired in tbe last, quarter, but outstayed Adrian in the final struggle. Adrian ran :u;orly and was under punishment all of the last furlong. Lee Harrison II. broke slowly and trailed the leaders until rounding the turn into the homestretch, where be came to the outside, finished gamely under punishment and, wearing Prince Brutus down in the last sixteenth, won going away. Prince Brutus left the barrier fast and, dashing to the front, set a fast pace for Hie first live furlongs, but tired under a drive in tlie last sixteenth. Koyal Onyx made a determined challenge after entering the homestretch, but quit under punishment in the final drive. The distance was too short for Willis Green, which was gaining on the leaders at the end. Posing was outrun all the way. Dog Kose showed a Hash of early speed. Court Martial carried Moonraker a bit wide when entering tlie homestretch, but the latter bore In on bim all through the last furlong and the two finished fast on tlie inside next to the rail. Kelvin ran well, but could never get up. Scotch Pebble was green at the barrier and dropped back early, but closed a big gap and was wearing Kelvin down at the end. Kernel fell and broke bis neck at the seventh jump. Bonfire refused at tbe second jump and was pulled up. Tbe winner was entered for ,000; no bid.
