Roseben, after seemingly being outpaced to the last turn, drew out when Aeil bolted to the outside and 311st lasted long enough to get home. Aeil, after close and persistent pursuit of the pacemaker, Avent very wide on the last turn and, if kept straight, would have Avon, finished wearing the favorite down and ran a craiul race. First Premium was outpaced to the last half, but finished with a tremendous rush and if In grand form. Bellwether showed brilliant speed for a half mile and held on unexpectedly well. Mary F. closed up steadily throughout, is very good and likes mud. Cloisteress tired at the end of seven furlongs of l-.een contention Aith the AVinner. Killiecrankie finished fast, as usual.
