KEENES CELT IN A SOFT SPOT. That extraordinary maiden colt, Celt, by Commando Maid of Erin, which trainer Rowe uncovered last Saturday in the Flatbush Stakes, ge.ts iuto the rich Juuior Champion run at Graveseud Saturday, September 21, with 107 pounds. Considering that Celt defeated Bar None with more apparent ease than Colin had vanquished Mr. Whitneys crack, it would look as if Mr. Keene could with safety not start Colin in the Junior Champion, and be just as sure of taking the winners share of the Junior Champion with Celt carrying his colors. This 107 pounds weight is, of course, based upon Celt not winning a stake prior to the Junior Champion. The conditions are such that Celt could win one of several maiden races before then without incurring any penalty.
